A belated Happy 4th of July to all. Half the year is
gone, and every year time goes by faster and faster or maybe Iím
just moving slower and slower. I know I was moving a lot slower
after the TCA Convention and the ibuprofen was a big help in
keeping me moving.
A big THANK YOU to all of our
members who worked the TCA Convention by setting up the
display, taking it down, packing the trailer, towing the
trailer, running the trains, and answering questions. Thanks
also to members who made all items we used to make our display
so interesting. Doing this convention was a very big
undertaking for the PGRS. The club worked on getting ready for
it off and on for about a year and a half. We had so many nice
compliments. Also, we had some Furries stop by to see the
trains. If you didnít make it down to Wyndham Grand Hotel to see
our display, you can click on the following link and see the
spot that Pittsburgh Today Live (KDKA) had on the convention.
Iím so proud of our accomplishment and success of
our layout the club had for the convention. All of our workers
deserve a round of applause for a job well done! I hope that the
club will get some new members from doing the convention. We
had a lot of people interested and they asked many questions.

Mark Demyan is sorry, but will not be able
to host the club meeting in July as planned. Unfortunately he
will be out of town for work and will not return home in time.
We are also looking for someone to host the month of November.
If you would like to volunteer to host the meeting, please give
me a call or e-mail.
Also, the Greenbergís Train and Toy Show
at the Monroeville Convention Center is
July 22-23, 10: AM. to 4:PM. The
PGRS didnít try to do this show because of the TCA Convention.
The club can take the month off and rest up for our next show
August 12-13, at the
Monongahela River, Rail & Transportation Museum for Brownsville
days. Ernie and Ed are looking forward to the club coming back
for the show. Iíll have the details, and looking for volunteers
for the show in the August newsletter.
August will be another busy month for the
PGRS. Please mark your calendar and save the date Saturday,
August 19th, for the PGRS family picnic. Alycefaye
Stewart and Joe Welling will be our hosts for the picnic at the
The trip to Gettysburg is coming along; we
need five more people to sign up for the 35person(s) minimum

want to go, but I donít count anyone until I receive the money.
The bus holds fifty-two. if you had any friends or family
members you think would like to join us on the trip, please
tell them about it. All the details are in this newsletter under
trips. This year we have a second pickup at the Monroeville

making reservations for the trip is
