Update on Greenberg train Show
(repeated from the "President's Desk")
After the work on the layout was done, we had a short business meeting and discussed the November Greenberg Train Show in Monroeville. There is a great deal of concern over our having an adequate number of people for set up and take down. We discussed if we would be better off going back to setting up on Saturday before the show as we had done in the past. This might be a good way to have more people coming out to help. By doing this they could stay and go though the show rather than just setting up on Friday. Members would only have to make one trip out to Monroeville. The take down people could come early on Sunday and go though the show and stay to help with the take down. Again only having to make one trip out to Monroeville.
We are going to give it a try and see how this works. Set up for the Greenberg Show will be Saturday, November 13, from 7:30AM to 10AM. The show opens at 10AM and runs to 4PM. We will have doughnuts for the early birds. Sunday, November 14, the show runs from 10AM to 4PM and take down is from 4PM to 8PM. We are also going to put together a schedule of who can come and when.
Please let me know what time or day works best for you and what fits your schedule. Please let me know as soon as possible, when you can help so that I can make up the schedule and save a lot of calling.
